SOCIAL POLICY








The Company has formulated its Social accountability & labor conditions policy as under:

Shingora is committed to carry out business practices in an ethical & transparent manner. This includes:
  • Minimum recruitment age of workers in the facility is 18 yrs & there is no child/ young worker working in any of our operations & no recruitment will be made without authentic proof of age.

  • Giving equal wages for equal work (i.e. no discrimination on the basis of caste, creed, sex, region, religion and political affiliation).

  • Voluntary employment & under no circumstances any form of Forced / bonded / prison labor shall be employed in the company.

  • Working hours, Wages (including Overtime) & other benefits to workers are as per government laws from time to time.

  • Prohibition on unacceptable form of discipline such as physical or verbal abuse, fines, illegal deductions & dismissals.

  • Employees will not be prevented from the right to establish & join worker committees to redress any grievances. The factory has Grievance handling mechanism to redress employee grievances.

  • Adherence to Health, safety & environment regulations & special emphasis on the Health & safety of the employees by providing them:

    • Clean & safe working conditions / environment.

    • Periodic medical check up.

    • Safe & clean drinking water.

    • Adequate no. Of clean & Hygienic toilets equipped with Soap/ towel/ flushing/ washing water.

    • Proper lighting & ventilation will be provided in the factory.

    • All chemicals of Hazardous nature will be stored separately with clear instructions for safe handling & use.

    • Training on Safe operation of machines & tools, proper use of PPE's (Personal Protective equipments), Good house keeping, Emergency preparedness, Handling of chemicals First aid, Fire fighting & evacuation plan.

    • Factory ensures that all requirements of national & international laws are met.

    • The Factory is committed for continual improvement on all clauses under Social Accountability standard.
The Social accountability policy is documented, implemented, maintained & communicated to all the Directors/ Executives/Supervisors, Suppliers/ vendors & staff employed directly !contracted or otherwise. The copy of the policy is posted at Notice board near gate for all the visitors/ suppliers/ customers etc.

This is intimated to all workers through notice board & this is also mentioned in Worker Hand book.
